Leaping back to the 60s:

Walk upside-down inside handcuffs
Kick my legs to crash it off
Say okay, I have had enough
What else can you show me ?

Thunder Road  --  Bruce Springsteen   What a great song!  I feel that the longer "live" versions, when Springsteen is playing acoustic guitar or the piano, make this song even more powerful.

I totally agree, Cobra. VERY powerful lyrics.
I also love the Unplugged version that he did with Melissa Etheridge back in the 90s.

Now to:

A band we loved in Memphis--in fact one of their album covers is a photo of the crowd at the Overton Park Shell in Memphis.

Next lyrics (connection is in the song title which is repeated several times in the lyrics):

Well thunder bolts
Can't keep me away
You give your love
To which I pay

The lyrics are searchable, but I'll also include a youtube of the song--it has a pretty cool guitar riff in it.

Next Lyrics: You might have to space the letters to this 70's classic title  _ _ _ _ _

Sometimes I'm sexy, move like a stud
Kicking the stall all night
Sometimes I'm so shy, got to be worked on
Don't have no bark or bite, alright

Yeah when you call my name
I salivate like a Pavlov dog
Yeah when you lay me out
My heart is beating louder than a big bass drum, alright

I said hey, yeah I feel alright now
Got to be a....
Hey I feel alright now
