chief-seen over the years?? ever see the oakland a's relief pitcher who threw a chair into the stands and busted an old lady in the face?
ever see the father and son drunk off their arses's attack the first base umpire in chicago, so bad, that both teams them pummelled the father and son?

ever see the ny Giants fans throw ice balls at people in the endzone a few yrs back. when the reporters took pictures of the accused throwing snowballs and the pix made the papers, the giants tracked down who they were by the seat section and banned their seat license and season tickets.

how about the fans in detroit who threw a beer bottle at ron artest leading to a riot ?

ever see the cubs fan who threw a beer on shane victorino as he was catching a ball 3 yrs ago ?

THIS ISN'T ABOUT PHILLY! It's everywhere!

don't know why the fans were cheering. normally they clap as he leaves the court like other injured players. i don't like noah, so i don't care. wrong to cheer his injury, but he brings a lot of fan hatred on himself. total punk since he was at florida.

Now that you mention it nothing beats that incident in Chicago when those drunks beat up Tom Gamboa, I think thats his name. Detroit fans are pretty bad too.

I don't think you can really generalize any fan base, there are bad apples in every bunch.  Look at the Dodgers, anyone think all of their fans are like the hoodlums that beat up Brian Stow?  One of the main problems is actually alcohol.  I am not against having a beer at a game or so, but you get these idiots who go waste a ton of money on alcohol at a game and can't even tell you the final score, then if mob mentality sets in or they feel emboldened to do whatever, you get trouble.

Some folks just need a good butt whooping too...they are so down in life that they can't get back up and it's easier to hurt people than look inside and improve yourself.

In any case, onto the cool stuff, anyone see the shoes that Notre Dame is going to wear over in Ireland this fall?  Look like the Irish flag, pretty nice, second best shoe to Tim Duncan's skeleton shoes from a couple years ago.

Also saw that Ohio State recruit decommitted after being approached by a sex offender.  Good for him, shows integrity.  Come to Iowa kid, you will end up in the NFL.

Need this week to be over already...come on Friday!

Go to Iowa kid.  Cows are not predatory.  They passively wait.  Cool

Cat, the thing that sets the crowd cheering Noah's injury apart in my mind from the examples you gave is that the cheering was relatively loud.  No way it was just a 1 or 2 people doing it, which is typically the case when someone in the stands does something stupid.  Heck, I doubt a couple hundred people could make that much noise. It's not like they cheered for 30 seconds, but it was certainly long enough, and loud enough, to be noticed by everyone there.  A 76ers player tweeted after the game that it (Noah's injury) was something that shouldn't have been cheered.

Any time, heck you can go to any fan base and find something that some idiot has done at some point.

I have never heard that about cows and not sure how Mags knows that about cows, but Wisconsin is the cheese state which needs cows to produce the milk for the cheese, so there must be plenty of cows in Wisky as well for her to know about it.  Kind of scared to be on the boards with her now though...Wink

Saw a new show advertised on TVLand, it has Cedric the Entertainer in it, and saw he was wearing a Mizzou basketball jersey.  Cedric was born in JC MO and cut his teeth in St L so nice to see him root for the home team.

Just messin with you Hawkeye.

It's amazing the amount of new programming on what most people would consider relatively lower tier cable networks.  I hope that C the E show isn't thinking about portraying him as a current player.  I know they can do wonders with make up, but I don't think there is any make up known to man that could transform Cedric into looking like an athlete.  lol

He's too fat. They had Cedric on one of the Tiger Woods games I used to play on PS2, he didn't even look like a golfer. Laughing

hahaha, ok, think you all misunderstood, it looked like one of those buddie shows, think it is a spinoff of the Hot in Cleveland show.  No way could Ced play ball these days, heck not sure he could ever play ball.

OK, looked it up...it's set here in St Louis, which makes sense since this is technically his hometown and I think he is writing it:

"The Soul Man" revolves around R&B superstar-turned-minister Reverend Boyce "The Voice" Ballentine (played by Cedric) who was living the high life in Las Vegas at the top of the music charts (see the video for his 80's hit, "Sex Wichoo" here) when he gets the calling to go from soul singer to soul saver. Relocating to St. Louis with his wife, Lolli (Niecy Nash) and his daughter, Lyric (Jazz Raycole) to take over the preaching duties in his father's church, his family is not exactly eager to give up the fabulous superstar life for a humble one. The Reverend Boyce character originally appeared in a season two episode of "Hot in Cleveland" and a spinoff was developed by Cedric and "Hot in Cleveland" creator Suzanne Martin.

Might have to watch an episode or two to see if it is worth it.  Not much good ever shown about St Louis, your murder capital of the US.

That makes me think of that scene from Vacation with Chevy Chase when they're in that bad neighborhood in east St. Louis and they take his hub caps on the spot, its hilarious because its true.Laughing

Good morning all!

Been both under the weather and on the road of late, so haven't been able to stop by.

Hope all are well.

Pretty much ignoring the NBA playoffs, except to see how my Celtics' senior citizens do against the youngsters.

Getting into the MLB though.  For once the Reds have not yet been mathematically eliminated from the World Series chase.  LOL  They've actually been playing fairly well of late.  Hope they can give the Cardinals a run for the division crown, at least.

Good morning. Are we talking cows? Moovelous.

I have to say Peter always schracks me up.

Rok, some meds say don't mix with scotch...just FYI.

Mags, I see very few cows in Iowa when I go through. Toomuch good dirt to waste on pasture and hay. That is your farm fact of the day.

Catfish-bring me a cheesesteak. Pronto. Please.
