Garrard said he believes the west coast offense the Dolphins plan to install fits his skill set because he's the type of quarterback who likes to get the ball out of his hands quickly. He's also fairly accurate, which is evident from his 61.6 career completion percentage.

Call me kooky but I like the signing.

I'm sad that we didn't sign Manning, but happy we didn't sign Flynn or Tebow.

I attended two Super Bowls there, and a few playoff games (1990, 1992). It still sucks as far as a home field edge.

Crap.

I was really slow when it comes to this Tebow thing. I was just happy he wasn't coming to Miami and then was speculating on whether he would help or further add to the Jets meltdown......I didn't stop to think that now I can no longer watch and root for him.
That sucks lol.
It was definitely fun to watch all that unfold in Denver and I found myself rooting for him (something rare for anyone who is not a Dolphin).......Now he's the enemy.

I like his on field personality, but the religion thing ... naw. Too much over the top for my tastes.

My issue is more Sparano. I want to see him do well. He's a good dude.

Awesome quality footage from 1973 against the Raiders in the Championship game at the old OB.

Love the ease in which they scored. ... still.

For those who have not heard Gregg Williams locker room rant. Here it is. If this dude is allowed back in the game it will be for all the wrong reasons. This is NOT normal coaching by any means. Asking players to aim for an ACL, or another players head? No, you ask your players to go all out, but to play within the rules. Clearly, this is contrary to the rules in place, and against everything most coaches believe.

I am quite surprised Sean Payton let this type of thing take place under his watch. I always considered him one of the better coaches, this shows something else.

I can't make this shit**** up......

This past week the most expensive and high-end football set released.
Against my better judgement I searched to see what Dolphins were in the product.  There were the rookies and a couple HOF'ers as I would have expected.
But of the current/recent players, who do I see for the Dolphins?
John Denney
Even better, it's cards with pieces of his game worn pro-bowl jersey.
It took a moment for all that to sink in.......Denney.......Dolphins.....
Pro-Bowl........Then I realized who exactly he was and that the Dolphins did have a long snapper that made it to the squad in 2010.

The rest of the set is guys like MJD, Fitzgerald, Ray Lewis, Troy P., Vick etc. etc.   Of course I have to get one now, because all I can do is laugh that in a $400 a pack product, with all of those superstars available, the Dolphins representative is a long snapper.
And laugh at the thought of someone opening a box at that price and pulling that card out as one of their "hits"........Laughing

My bad it's not just Denney that was in that set.........I could also get Brian Hartline autographed or game-used jersey patch cards.
Woo Hoo!!!

It's also nice that baseball occupied my attention for a couple days lol.  I think I went a couple days without posting anything.......I was able to distract myself from the Dolphins.  The freaking start of the Sox season is like a continuation of last September. Undecided

Man, I've spent a great deal of time the last few weeks transferring some of those game tapes to mpeg4 files. It's truly amazing to watch just how good our offense was, and sadly just how bad our defense was. Jackie Shipp, Rick Graf, Eric Kumerow, and it seems the list never ends.

On another note, I've still never seen a punter quite like Reggie Roby. RIP. He was awesome when he hit it solid.

Okay, back to reality...

WQAM program director Lee Feldman confirmed host Sid Rosenberg has been fired from WQAM following an arrest and DUI charge late last week.

Rosenberg had been off the air this week after the arrest last week, according to Feldman. Rosenberg also was charged with driving with a suspended license, according to the arrest report.

Rosenberg was found around 2 a.m. Thursday in Hollywood curled up on the ground behind his car in the middle of the road with his fingers in his mouth trying to induce vomiting, the arrest report stated.

He told the officer he was heading home to Boca Raton from Tootsie's strip club.

While I never try to openly root for someone to lose their jobs, I must say that there is a small piece of me that is satisfied with this move. Sid thinks he is bigger then life. His self promoting act gets tiresome. I suppose, it did not work on the program director, or the police officer, anymore then it did me.

I know we generally keep this to football, but seriously. What was this guy thinking? Could he have possibly said something more wrong?

He's entitled to his feelings, but some things are better left unsaid.

I think this has become the Dolphins equivalent of the off-topic board, so it fits in nicely here anyway.

But yeah, stupidest thing he's ever said if you ask me, and that's pretty hard to do if you're Ozzie..
