Penn State and Illinois are not bad football teams, but the Illinois defense was exposed in the USC game, although just about anyone would've got destroyed by USC. Good thing there isn't a playoff.

I would also have to say LSU's numbers are not as good as Illinois and Penn State b/c of the SEC offenses.

Yes, but LSU gave up 38 pts in OT of the Ark and KY games.  So that brings it down to 16.7 in regulation and OSU only had 3 offensive TDs against both PSU and U of I.

Did anyone take into account: The officiating will probably favor LSU since the SEC commissioner is in charge of the BCS this year. Lets face it college football is not entirely straight up anymore. You also have to take into account vegas.

I give credit to the Buckeyes but I just don't see them holding the Tigers to under 20 points unless this is one of those games where it's mostly defense and LSU wins 17-14...

Dear Father:

I ask that in the 2008 BCS National Championship Game, the referee crew that was in charge of the Pitt-WVU game is not in charge.  I also ask that the referee crew in charge of the Illinois-OSU game is not in charge either.  And please refrain from using any SEC referees, their officiating seemed downright atrocious to me.

I also ask that you bring a victory to my Buckeyes.  That would be pleasant.
