This is to all the OSU fans, especially the ones who have replied to me.
Look at Hawaii. They have an "amazing offense".
They play in a crap conf and play crap out of conf games.
They go undefeated.
Now look at OSU. They have an "amzing defense".
They play in a crap conf and play crap out of conf games.
They lose to Ill, the only good team they faced.
Why does OSU go to the NC while Hawaii is ranked 10th? The only reason is because their name is OHIO STATE and you all know it.
If I hear talk about their D next year I'm gonna scream. If I hear that they are in the NC talk I'm gonna puke. If they make the NC I'm committing suicide.
DO they play USC next year? Finally they are getting smart. Until they play the big boys and win OR KEEP IT CLOSE they are a decent team.
Truth be told it was the Big 10 teams that ducked the top SEC teams for 30+ years refusing to play home and home matches against them that has been the hinderance to better SEC-Big 10 matchups.
So the Big Ten is ducking the SEC? Why would OSU schedule home and home games with Texas (perennial B12 powerhouse) USC (best team in the Pac this decade) and Miami (who will no doubt be back to what they have always been in a couple years when we play them) if we were afraid to schedule tough OOC teams? This year was the exception to OSU's OOC schedule. Yes it sucked.
So since the Big Ten is ducking the SEC is that why LSU has two teams OOC from 2002-2012 in Va Tech and ASU that are respectable opponents? Is it that everyone is afraid to play them? The biggest challenge OOC for the next 5 years for LSU is Troy. At home.
And as far as UT goes, home and home against Cal and UCLA as their "tough" OOC games is pretty weak. Try Texas and USC. Slightly tougher wouldn't you say?
It's called being a good winner, and it's just as important as being a good loser.
Why don't you tell that to the Buckeyes who didn't congratulate LSU after losing, but rather went straight to the locker room to cry.
I wouldn't ignore your team having more total yards on offense, and then say your team couldn't move the ball.
Who cares about OSU having more total yards "bro", they lost. They couldn't move the ball after the first what, 6 minutes. Beanie Wells got held to what, 28 yards on his last 13 carries "bro". I'm not taking TD's off the board, but rather pointing out the fact that it wasn't as close as you make it seem since it was on a second team defense. Just like everyone is saying Kansas dominated VT, yet they only beat them by 4, or how Michigan dominated Florida but won by 6; both teams dominated and the score didn't give them justice for the domination. You can spew stats all you want about total yards for the game, how about total turnovers? 3-1 and a blocked kick. How about first downs, 25-17. I mean if were going to give stats how about this one: points on first team defense, LSU 38, OSU 17.
BRO
Hey Blackeytodd,
The SEC doesnt scedule tough OOC games BC THEY PLAY THE SEC. As far as UT goes, Cal was at one time hot. You cant blame them for that. Sure UT's OOC games next year are crap but they play UF UGA and AUB. OSU plays crap conf games so they schedule Youngston St.
jrh if your there
Its not a make believe schedule. I meant if they played the rest of the top 10 in the NC game they would have lost. I didnt clearify what I meant.
But you admit they would lose more games in the SEC. MY POINT. They wouldnt deserve to be in the NC but they do now???
USC has only won 1 title, they are not the best team in the bcs era. They play weak teams and the rose bowl game has the quality now of an outhback bowl. Pac ten 1 against teg ten 3 is not exciting.
For people that are saying "sec noobs," you are the gayest people ever for saying that. UGA would kill USC. In a playoff, it would hae been UGA vs LSU. LSU had a tougher time winning the SEC championship than the NC. This proves my point, its harder to win a SEC title than an NC. UT would kill OSU as would 6 other sec teams.
This is to all the OSU fans, especially the ones who have replied to me.
Look at Hawaii. They have an "amazing offense".
They play in a crap conf and play crap out of conf games.
LMAO! So the WAC who finished with 1 team in the top 25 is a good comparison to the B10 who finished with 5 in the coaches poll (just like the SEC), and 4 in the AP (one less than the SEC)? Too funny.
They go undefeated.
Now look at OSU. They have an "amzing defense".
They play in a crap conf and play crap out of conf games.

Actually it's because a BCS conference like the Big Ten carries significantly more weight than the WAC. UM, Wisky, Purdue, Michigan St, were also solid teams OSU played. Hawaii was 2 minutes from losing to Washington who was the last place team in the Pac 10. Terrible analogy.
If I hear talk about their D next year I'm gonna scream. If I hear that they are in the NC talk I'm gonna puke. If they make the NC I'm committing suicide.
Maybe you could just shut up instead of killing yourself. I don't want you dead. Not hearing your lame comments would be OK though.
DO they play USC next year? Finally they are getting smart. Until they play the big boys and win OR KEEP IT CLOSE they are a decent team.
Like how Tennessee played Cal two years in a row (and LOST this year!). Wasn't Cal the 7th best team in the Pac 10?
Maybe you don't know but OSU just finished a home and home against Texas when they were national champs. We start another against USC. Then on to Miami. Then Oklahoma. This year was a huge exception.
Have fun with the 5th place team in the Pac 10 (UCLA) the next couple years. Way to "play with the big boys" there. LMAO!
I'm actually finding Tennessee fans to be FAR and above the biggest homers of anyone in the SEC, and surprisingly LSU fans for the most part have been the best. It's funny watching UT ride LSU's coat tails. I wonder if UT will be relevant THIS decade. Next year doesn't look promising with UF, UGA, LSU, and Auburn leading the way in the SEC. At least you still have the Grand Ole Opry!
congrats to LSU.
to me the difference in th game was LSU's ability to get and then convert 3 &1. It seemed like 10 times they were in 3&1 and converted all of them. OSU was always in 3 & long and when they had 3 and short LSU D-line dominated.
Also, Special Teams was the difference. LSU blocked a FG and somehow OSU missed that punt and killed the punter. Those two plays changed the game.
I will have nightmares for yrs to come waking up "how did he not block that punt" it seemed to go right thru his body!!
So the Big Ten is ducking the SEC? I'm not talking about now. Go back and look from 1950 - 1980 and see how many SEC Big 10 games were played other than KY - Indiana. Georgia played at Michigan with no return game. Vandy played at Minnesota with no return game and at Indiana with no return game. Ohio State played Alabama in the Sugar Bowl in like 77 or 78. They didn't play Auburn, Tennessee, Florida or Ole Miss (great in 50's and 60's). Indiana did schedule a home and home against LSU in 77 - 78. You can find several games against Notre Dame, Penn State (not in Big 10 at the time), PAC 10 schools including USC, Big East schools, SWC, etc. Virtually nothing against the Big 10. Why? Because the Big 10 teams refused to do home and home games with those lowly teams from the South.
another P ohio state fan...standard
we did step aside and let yet another SEC team roll your sorry squad in a title game. sucks, eh?
You keep asking, but fail to READ.
Listen, or your tounge will make you deaf.
1 mo time:
The noise I heard last night was the LSU team shouting "SEC" at the presentation of the BCS National Championship Trophy.
Yowsuh! Just like the Gators did last year! S-E-C!, S-E-C!, S-E-C!, S-E-C!
We are not talking about JUST the fans...The LSU PLAYERS! The FLORIDA PLAYERS! GET IT?
Do any of you SEC haters realize WHY the last 2 National Champions chant S-E-C!, S-E-C!, S-E-C!, S-E-C! ????
They do it for YOU!
Way to geaux Tigers!
Thanks for the big post....i'm just ribbing you...but it does seem evident that you are convinced OSU didn't get killed on Monday night. BTW I didn't say blowout, I said killed
This is typical Buckeye post loss propaganda. For all competitive purposes the defeat was 21 points.....you can't count any points by the opposition after the winning team has already poured gatorade on their coaches! The amount of points isn't what i'm talking about, it was the absolute beating they took.
It seems like everybody else witnessed a behind the woodshed beating except for you.

I still think the 95-96 team was the best you had.
"I don't care who you are, that's just funny right there"
