Boise inks deal with UT Martin in 2013

May 18, 2012 4:01 pm

Just last month, ground was broken on the latest phase of stadium expansion, and pretty much everyone of the extra seats are already sold.

Smiles, please say that isn't so.

IMHO, we need more general seating tics first. I realize the new seating could be immediately bought up, but we need more open seating to accommidate traveing visitors for bigger programs. As it currently stands, with 23+K season tics, 5K student tics, and preferred comp tics, we currently only have about 5K tics for both general seating AND visitor seating. That just simply isn't enough to accommidate bigger programs and still maintain any local general seating at all. If all of the current expansion tics are sold, we are left being in the same boat.

Many season tic holders were priced out of their tics a couple years ago, and are patiently waiting to regain that gameday atmosphere. If most of the upcoming extra seats were held for bigger program visitors, then those same seats would be available for general consumption during lesser opponents.

What is the over/under on how many boise fans will be posting on these boards by seasons' end?

Heck, after Boise lost to Nevada, Smiles got lost in a Snow storm for a month.

Smiles?  Is this true........I hope the devastating loss to my Wolf pack didn't force you into the side of a snow bank.

I certainly hope that isn't the case. We currently only have about 5-6K tics to accommidate both visitor seating AND general seating, combined. If we are going to be able to accommidate bigger program visitors, most of the new seating must remain general seating.

Many season tic holders got priced out of the market a couple years ago. They are patiently waiting to regain those lost experiences, even if for only lesser opponent games, where those larger opponent travel tics would revert back to cheaper general seating for those lesser opponents.

Since the turn of the century, Boise State has the best record of any team in division one.

Smiles its dumbAss statements like this one that keeps Boise from getting the respect they long so much for. I know your not smart enough to figure out that the ONLY reason you have the best record in division one(at this time)is because you only play teams you can beat and you have one of the weakest if not the weakest SCHEDULE in division one. Hell anyone and specially Oklahoma could go 50-3 with the same Schedule Bose st has. Hell you should been able to go 47 stright with a lose playing the creampuffs Boise does. OU did playing the Bigboys, lets see Boise do that. NEVER HAPPEN.

------------

sorry to inform you, several NC banners do fly in Boise.

Those Banners you brag so much on, nobody wants anyway. Their from the peewee league and boy i guess for you Boise fans thats alot to brag about. imo i think as long as you keep play nobodys you won't see a real  NC banner.

You act like boise sells out all their games and maybe they do, but do all of them show up. From what one of your fans said during your superstar moores last game the stadium was only 88% full. I have heard it moore then once that your fans don't allways fill the stands.

Bunch of overrated, underwhelming, choke artists - a laughing stock, a joke of a team that plays absolutely pathetic in big games (actually in many games big or small for that matter).  And anyone who watches and understands college football knows that for a fact.  Ya'll flat out suck.

Boise4Life with a statement like that, and you claim to know something about college football. you are a real Dip$h-t. You need to go see somebody about your problem Dude. you think what you said is a fact Ba hahahahahahaha.

The Jealousy is Oooozing from every post you make.
No jealousy on this end of the table.  I'm a fan of the better team if we are talking about what's going on in colege football today which is what matters to me.  I could care less about what OU accomplished in the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.

It's pretty apparent that I can't stand Chokelahoma though.  I'll make no bones about it.  I've always hated them, even before Boise beat them in the Fiesta Bowl.  See unlike people like you I don't get jealous of others' success.  Bama, LSU, and USC are the most elite teams in the country today and I feel zero jealousy towards them.  Although a lot of fans from the SEC rub me the wrong way (and I don't really care for Bama) I'm happy to see them succeed and I enjoy watching them play.  I respect them for their dominance and winning ways.  Chokelahoma on the other hand I have absolutely no respect for, bunch of gag artists.  They suck.  And they aren't anywhere even near Bama, LSU, or USC's stratosphere.  Good grief look what happens to them when they do play those kind of teams.  They get completely blown out of the stadium.

Dear Moron, OU is exactly 2-2 against the teams you just mentioned since 2002.

Depending on which Guru you wish to follow,  OU is consistently rated between #1 and #3 in the BCS Era.  yOUr Stupidity knows no bounds.

1 National Title, 2 Heisman Trophies, 2 Heisman Runners up, 8 Conference Titles.

Yeah.  Cuz OU beat Alabama 10 years ago in back to back seasons when they were not anything near what they are today.  And even so they narrowly beat them both times, including the year that Bama went 4 and 9 in the wake of the Mike Price / Mike Shula debacle.

You like to play the speculation game, Spinkiller.  Why don't you tell me how OU would do if they played any of those three mentioned teams today.  OU is nowhere near their level.  It isn't even close.  Would it even be anything less than the 55 to 19 margin that USC destroyed you by in the 2005 Orange Bowl and CG?  I doubt it.  It would be a massacre just like it always is when you get matched up with a high quality opponent.

I'd consider the 2011 Oklahoma State Cowboys to be a quality opponent.  They had a strong team last year.  And look what they did to you......a 44 to 10 embarrassment of a butt kicking by little brother.

What an imbecilic, arrogant, ignorant moron you are, Spinkiller.

OU is a top tier team in CFB. If you cant see that or feel some slight toward them just because your a BSU fan you should turn your computer off an throw it out the window. OU is by far one of the best teams in CFB.

Too funny. You want to use the bcs era, but not their polls.

I can certainly see why since they show no where near any consistency that you are claiming. Your guru must have been old Sam at the local corner bar, because the polls used in the bcs has OU averaging well outside the top 10 during the bcs era.

No worries though. I'm sure some consider twice in 14 seasons being consistent, right?

OU is the most overated program in the nation, outside of Notre Dame.

Okay, BamaTime72 then give me an idea as to what you think the score would be if your team had played OU these last few seasons.  As an Alabama fan I'm assuming you have to believe like I do that the Tide has been the best team in the country in recent seasons as well as in the here and now.  Oklahoma not so much.  And by the way I watch a ton of Alabama and Oklahoma football.  So let's go ahead and place all 3 games at a neutral site so it's fair and have them played around week 3 with a couple of games a piece under both team's belts.  Think it through and be as honest as you can be about it.  Spinkiller just loves to play these little hypothetical games, so why not.  I'll even start.  I'll use the end of year rankings from the Coaches poll for each team.  Here's my predictions:

2009:  (Undefeated, national champion, and #1) Alabama 52
          (8 and 5 and unranked Oklahoma) 10

2010:  (#11) Alabama 35
(#6, Fiesta Bowl champions over the 8 and 5 Connecticut Huskies) Oklahoma 27

2011:  (National champion and #1) Alabama  38
          (#15) Oklahoma 7

What do you think?  Does that look about right to you?  Because it does to me.  I'll play the same game with my Broncos if you like who were:

2009: Fiesta Bowl champions over #6 TCU, undefeated and #4 in the country
2010:  #7
2011:  #6

Just let me know.  Here's a hint.  I think the games would have been much, much more competitive and in my heart of hearts I think my 7th ranked Broncos would have beaten your #11 Crimson Tide in 2010.  Too bad the games weren't played because it would have been exciting to find out for sure.

The outcome of three hypothetical OU vs Bama games wouldnt change the fact that OU is a top tier team. They are one of the winningest programs in CFB.
