QB: Drew Brees
RB: Clinton Portis
RB: Chris Johnson
WR: T.J Houshmandzadeh
WR: Roy E. Williams
WR: Jerrico Cotchery
TE: Todd Heap
Defense: Patriots
K: Matt Bryant

RB: Thomas Jones
RB: Ronnie Brown
WR: Tory Holt
WR: Isaac Bruce
TE: John Carlson
WR: Steve Smith

My computer messed up so I ended up getting Brees at number two due to auto draft, then I got Portis and Johnson in the 2nd and 3rd.  Took my WRs next then got to the 6th, 7th where I could have went WR, TE but instead I took 2 backup RBs with high value that I'll look to trade for a better WR and TE.  I kind of regret how I drafted but that team isn't that terrible and with a couple of good trades I'll be alright.

Could use some comments/thoughts

This is a very above average team.  You couldn't ask for a better QB-RB-RB combo than what you have.  I think your wideouts are all No. 2 options, which means your solid top to bottom.  Hasselbeck's back which is good for Housh, TO is gone which is good for Roy, and Coles is gone which is good for Cotchery.  I don't think you absolutely have to trade for a wideout, but it couldn't hurt to bolster your lineup.  Hopefully Heap can snap out of his slump this season.  Pats D and Matt Bryant are both solid, so all in all I would think you have one of the better teams in your league.  Bench looks good, I'm guessing thats Steve Smith of the Giants at WR.

It was on auto for me and I think it chose Warner with the #8 pick. SMH! Not a good selection..but overall it didn't choose me the worst team..need to make quite a few adjustments though...your team is very solid btw...

No. My first goal is to get QB + Number 1 option

I know, I'll do my best to get Colston but it'll be tough especially since BMu won't check that league all year.  Is it worth it to downgrade at WR (upgrade at TE) to pick up one of Brees' WRs or would that be completely different then the strategy you recommend.

I've made that offer for Bowe, I might not even bother for Colston since that's Bmu's team and he has Jones Drew and DeAngelo Williams......

Lakers2408 runs the league, it's for money.  People on auto ended up getting QBs in the first like McNabb and Warner so that's probably why Johnson and Portis fell.  I'm still not sure if I like my team that much, need to get one of those RBs off my bench and fill in my wholes at WR and TE.

Who were you drafting with, 5 years olds? Seriously how does Portis and Chris Johnson make it back to your 2nd and 3rd round picks, that's crazy. Is this on one of CBS leagues?

To bad it might be last in my division, the other three teams are stack.  McNabb, Warner, and I think Aaron Rodgers all went 1st round because people were on auto and they get the best QB available, so who ever was there ended up with a pretty good team.  You're right about Colston though, I'm definitely going to try to get him.
